The CFA Institute Asset Manager CodeTM (the Code) outlines the ethical and professional responsibilities of organizations that manage assets on behalf of clients. The principles and provisions address six broad categories:

  1. (1) loyalty to clients
  2. (2) investment process and actions
  3. (3) trading
  4. (4) risk management, compliance, and support
  5. (5) performance reporting and valuation, and
  6. (6) disclosures.

CFA Society Nigeria actively creates awareness of the Asset Manager Code and promotes adoption and compliance by firms in the investment management industry through roundtable discussions and interactive workshops for operators and regulators in Nigeria and the African region.
