Finance Forward Endowment Fund Scholarships

Building Africa's Future, One Investment Professional at a Time

The Finance Forward Endowment Fund is CFA Society Nigeria's flagship scholarship initiative, created to expand access to the CFA® Program through sustainable, long-term funding.

Structured as a permanent endowment, the Fund invests contributions to provide scholarships year after year, helping talented individuals pursue the CFA charter regardless of financial circumstances. The Fund currently supports the following scholarship streams:

1) Women in Investment Management (WIM) Stream

Supporting more women to build successful careers in investment management. This stream provides need-based scholarships to talented Nigerian women pursuing the CFA® Program.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Nigerian women
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Strong commitment to a career in investment management

2) Northern Star Inclusion Stream

Expanding access for talented candidates from underserved communities. This stream supports high-potential candidates from Northern Nigeria who require financial assistance to pursue the CFA® Program.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Candidates from Northern Nigeria
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Strong academic or professional potential

3) General Merit & Need-Based Stream

Supporting exceptional talent wherever it is found. This stream provides scholarships to outstanding candidates who demonstrate strong potential and financial need.

  • High-potential CFA candidates
  • Demonstrated financial need

CFA Society Nigeria Accelerate Scholarship

The CFA Society Nigeria Accelerate Scholarship is part of a regional collaboration among select CFA societies, designed to support high-potential Nigerian candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to the investment profession but face financial constraints. The Accelerate scholarship reduces the CFA Program exam registration fee to USD 600 and also offers complimentary access to the CFA Program Practice Pack.

Ideal Candidates:

  • Nigerian citizens (early to mid-career)
  • Planning for Level I or II
  • Strong financial need
  • Not registered or awaiting results

    Requirements:

    • CV (max 2 pages)
    • Motivation letter
    • Proof of financial need
    • Academic credentials
    • CFA result (Level II only)

    CFA Institute Access Scholarship

    A global need-based scholarship

    Designed to make the CFA Program more affordable, this scholarship reduces the exam fee to USD 400 and includes the Practice Pack.

    Ideal Candidates:

    • Candidates with financial need
    • Open to Levels I, II, and III
    • Not currently registered or awaiting results
    • No unused CFA scholarship
    • Not employer-sponsored

    Applications are reviewed directly by CFA Institute.
