Promoting Ethical Excellence in Finance

The CFA Society Nigeria Ethics Challenge, launched in 2016, champions the highest standards of ethics within the financial industry. This competition addresses key areas of CFA Institute's Future of Finance initiative, including Transparency and Fairness, Regulation and Enforcement, and Safeguarding the System. By fostering ethical awareness, the Ethics Challenge contributes to a healthier and more trustworthy financial environment.

The Challenge:

The Ethics Challenge presents university students with a case study that explores a complex ethical dilemma, where the line between right and wrong may not be immediately clear. Teams of students analyze the situation and develop recommendations, which they then present to a panel of experienced CFA charterholders. Following the presentations, a rigorous question-and-answer session allows the judges to delve deeper into the teams' reasoning and approach. The winning team is announced at a celebratory cocktail reception.

This challenge provides a unique opportunity for students to:
