Signing Ceremony between CFA Society Nigeria and Great Place To Work.

On the 11th day of April 2018, CFA Society Nigeria and Great Place to Work signed an agreement to conduct a survey of the Best Workplaces for Women to work in the Nigerian investment industry. The partnership was signed as part of CFA Society Nigeria’s commitment to support women in the investment industry.

The partnership will have Great Place To Work conduct a benchmarking study of firms in Nigeria’s investment industry against global best workplace practices that support women to succeed in the investment industry.

Given CFA Society Nigeria’s commitment to promote gender diversity in the investment industry, this study will identify the firms that are “great places for women to work in the Nigerian investment industry” and we will be giving special recognition awards to three most outstanding firms during our 2018 Charter Award Ceremony and Investment Conference in November 2018. We also intend to use the outcome of the study to encourage senior management to adopt workplace practices that support women so as to attract and retain more women in the investment industry.

In other efforts aimed at supporting women in the investment industry, CFA Society Nigeria in March 2018 also launched its ₦50 million Endowment Fund that will provide scholarships to women seeking to build a career in the investment industry. The society also launched its Mentoring Program for female investment professionals.

The agreement between CFA Society Nigeria and Great Place to Work was executed by the President of CFA Society Nigeria, Mr. Banji Fehintola, CFA, the General Secretary, Mr. Chuka Maduabum, CFA, and the Directors of Great Place to Work, Mr. Michael Tosin Oni, and Dr. Wura Abiola.
