Job Information

The role of the Finance Officer involves providing financial and administrative support required to achieve the goals of the Society. The Finance Officer candidate must be one that is focused on outcomes, an excellent problem solver and a strong communicator.


  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets
  • Maintain an efficient record management system to facilitate easy retrieval of all accounting records and supporting documents
  • Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  • Preparing relevant financial statements and month-end management accounts
  • Raise requisitions, Issue Customer Invoices, and Statements Processing invoices
  • Maintain Internal controls and Financial Systems
  • Reconcile all customer accounts and Liaise with Vendors and Sponsors and obtaining approval where necessary
  • Prepare for Audit and work with Auditors to its completion Annually
  • Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters while collating and managing receipts and petty cash
  • Producing regular reports and making appropriate recommendations
  • Supporting the Head of Finance and other executives with projects and tasks when required


  • A first degree preferably in Finance or Economics, Accounting, Business or Business Administration, Mathematics would be an advantage
  • Relevant professional certification in accounting (ACCA or ACA)
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Detailed and highly organized
