CFA Society Nigeria has announced the calendar for the 2018/19 CFA Institute Research Challenge.
Commenting at the closing ceremony of the 2017/18 national final of the competition that was won by Covenant University, Razaq Ahmed, CFA, chairman of the University Relations Committee, said the 2018/19 competition will start on 29 June 2018 with a Kick-off event in Lagos.
The other timelines for the 2018/19 competition include:
10th July 2018 – Online Registration with CFA Institute
30th August 2018 – Company Visit and Presentation
1st October 2018 – First draft of Research Report due to Mentor
15 November 2018 – Final Report Due
5th December 2018 – Report Grading
2nd February 2019 – Local Final Presentation
The dates and countries that will host the EMEA Regional Final and the Global Final will be advised in due course.
Banji Fehintola, CFA, president of CFA Society Nigeria, pledged the society’s commitment to expand the 2018/19 competition to twenty universities and to also provide a platform for universities in neighbouring West African countries that do not currently have a local CFA society to compete with their Nigerian counterparts. Eight universities participated in the 2017/18 Research Challenge hosted by CFA Society Nigeria.
